“Uzbekistan Airways” commences repatriation flights from Saudi Arabia for Uzbek pilgrims

TASHKENT, March 2. /Dunyo IA/. Repatriation flights on the “Jeddah - Tashkent” route are being organized starting today to facilitate the return of citizens of Uzbekistan who had travelled to Saudi Arabia on Umrah pilgrimage arrangements operated by “Uzbekistan Airways”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the airline, pursuant to a directive issued by the aviation authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan, all national air carriers have been instructed to suspend, until further notice, the transportation of Uzbek pilgrims to Saudi Arabia under the Umrah program. The restriction applies, inter alia, to services operated by “Uzbekistan Airways” on the “Tashkent – Jeddah –Tashkent” route.
