Uzbekistan’s para-powerlifters achieve historic milestone at World Championships in Cairo

CAIRO, October 20. /Dunyo IA/. From 9 to 18 October, the Egyptian capital, Cairo, hosted the World Para Powerlifting Championships for adults, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

More than 500 athletes from over 70 countries participated in this prestigious World Championship. The Uzbekistan national team delivered a commendable performance throughout the competition.
During the events, Uzbek athletes secured a total of nine medals: 1 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze. Notably, the Uzbekistan delegation achieved second place in the women's team and mixed team events.
It is important to highlight that throughout the championship, representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan consistently accompanied the para-athletes, providing unwavering support and encouragement.
