KREMS, September 17. /Dunyo IA/.   Diplomats of Uzbekistan met with Dr. Corinna Geppert of the Department for Higher Education Research at the Austrian University for Continuing Education Krems, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on developing interaction between higher education institutions and think tanks of Uzbekistan and Austria, as well as implementing joint educational and scientific research projects.

Dr. Corinna Geppert expressed interest in establishing direct ties with relevant organizations in Uzbekistan and supported the development of cooperation, including exchanges for faculty members and researchers, as well as joint projects.

Particular attention was paid to the opportunities within the “Eurasia-Pacific Uninet” (EPU) academic network, which brings together universities and research institutions of Austria, countries of Central, Eastern and South Asia, and other regions.

During the meeting, the parties also reviewed opportunities for faculty academic exchanges and the participation of Uzbek scholars in international research, including the project “Current and Future Challenges in the Academic Profession”, dedicated to contemporary and future challenges in the academic profession.

University for Continuing Education Krems is a public university in Austria, specializing in professional and postgraduate education, as well as applied research. Founded in 1995, the university brings together more than 6.4 thousand students from over 100 countries, and its research encompasses technology and innovation, education, healthcare, cultural heritage, migration and the creation of sustainable societies.
