Uzbekistan exports electrical products to Syria for the first time

• 103ALEPPO, August 17. /Dunyo IA/. The first batch of Uzbek-manufactured electrical products – air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines under the “Premier” brand – has been delivered to the Syrian city of Aleppo, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The value of the batch amounted to $90,000.
In June this year, the Embassy organised a visit to Tashkent by Ahmad Kalashi, head of the Syrian company “Kalash Trading”. Following the talks, “Premier Electrotech”, a joint venture based in Tashkent Region, and the Syrian company signed an export contract worth a total of $5 million.
Under the agreements reached, the first shipment of products was dispatched to Syria in July by two trucks and was successfully delivered to Aleppo.
Notably, the cargo travelled through Turkmenistan, Iran, Azerbaijan and Türkiye along an alternative transit corridor, reaching its destination in 20 days.
