NOVOSIBIRSK, September 8. /Dunyo IA/.  Diplomats from the General Consulate of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Representative Office of the Migration Agency, held meetings with compatriots temporarily working in the Novosibirsk Region of Russia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Meetings took place at enterprises specializing in waste processing, packaging and sale of greens, as well as greenhouse farming.

Representatives of the consulate and the agency discussed working conditions and the protection of workers' rights with the staff. Particular attention was paid to personal and occupational safety requirements, as well as the necessity to strictly comply with the legislation of Russia, including migration regulations.

Employers were reminded of the timely payment of wages and the provision of statutory compensations in the event of workplace injuries resulting from their fault.

Citizens of Uzbekistan were advised to immediately contact the General Consulate in case of any issues or violations of their labour and other legal rights. The diplomatic mission assured that it would continue to provide compatriots with the necessary assistance, including in documentation and the protection of their rights and interests in the Novosibirsk Region.
