World’s largest international exhibition on fruit and vegetable trade, processing, and export opens new opportunities for Uzbekistan’s agribusiness

BERLIN, February 10. /Dunyo IA/. From February 5 to 7, the world's largest international exhibition on fruit and vegetable trade, processing, and export, FRUIT LOGISTICA-2025, was held in the capital of Germany, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

This year’s exhibition, organized under the slogan "Effective Connections", focused on international cooperation. More than 3,000 participants from 90 countries showcased advanced technologies and innovations in the field of agricultural product processing and storage.

Uzbekistan’s participation in the fair was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan. Leading companies involved in the production and export of agricultural products participated in the event. The country's agricultural potential was demonstrated at the national stand, which covered more than 200 square meters. Fresh and processed dried fruits, vegetables, spices, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and other products grown in Uzbekistan, were presented by "Agrikultur Export Product", "GDF Agro" LLC, "Process" LLC, "Urgut Ufa Invest" LLC, "Fergan Exim Agro" LLC, "Aktash Water" LLC (OCARD), "Novagreen foods" LLC, and other companies and firms.

As part of the exhibition, the Uzbek delegation held B2B meetings with representatives of major European importers from Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, the Baltic States, and other countries. The negotiations focused on expanding exports, implementing investment projects in the processing and supply of fruits and vegetables, and exploring opportunities to enhance trade and economic cooperation.

Uzbekistan’s exporters' participation in this exhibition, which has become a hub for international collaboration in innovations, advanced technologies, and agribusiness, opens new prospects for expanding cooperation with foreign companies.

FRUIT LOGISTICA, founded in 1993, is the largest international event in the fruit and vegetable sector, held annually in Berlin. The exhibition presents the latest technologies and trends in agricultural product supply. It serves as an excellent opportunity for producers, suppliers, and consumers from around the world to discuss business matters, industry development, and establish international partnerships.

Entrepreneurs and guests of the exhibition shared their impressions:

Erkinjon Inamov, head of "EXIM AGRO" company: "We would like to thank our government for providing us the opportunity to participate in this exhibition and showcase our products to global market players. Exporting companies from our country are presenting their products at Uzbekistan’s pavilion. There has been great interest in our products here. I want to emphasize that Uzbekistan’s image abroad is growing year by year. In particular, the demand for our dried fruits and fresh fruits is increasing. We received many partnership offers, not only from Germany and the United Kingdom but also from Slovenia, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. During the exhibition, we held negotiations with many companies, and I believe that we will establish close cooperation with them in the future."

Torsten Janssen, representative of "Janssen Handel" company: "We visited the exhibition to familiarize ourselves with new products. We were warmly welcomed at Uzbekistan’s beautifully decorated pavilion. Here, we discovered unique, sweet dried fruits that are not grown in Germany or Europe, as well as new products for us. We will consider this in our future cooperation plans".

Saidvali Nasretdinov, head of "GDF Agro" LLC: "The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan annually organizes exhibitions under the "Made in Uzbekistan" brand, and this year we are also participating in the FRUIT LOGISTICA fair in the capital of Germany. This international exhibition mainly features major branded companies that cultivate fruits and vegetables, serving the agribusiness sector. The exhibition provides companies with an opportunity to find the products, technologies, and partners they need. Here, we met with partners from Central and Eastern Europe and planned to sign contracts with them in the future. Specifically, negotiations took place with companies about direct supplies of our fresh fruits. It is worth noting that entrepreneurs from all regions of our republic participated in the exhibition. There is a great demand for Uzbek fruits and vegetables in Europe".
