Uzbek textile delegation advances export opportunities in Azerbaijan

• 182BAKU, April 22. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation of representatives from Uzbekistan’s textile industry paid a working visit to Baku aimed at strengthening trade and economic cooperation and expanding export supplies, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The visit was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan. The delegation included representatives of more than 15 leading domestic manufacturers, including companies such as “Yuksalish Tekstil”, “Textile Pro Group”, “Fashion Premium”, “Grand Tex Groups”, “Sofiya Sof Tekstil”, “Bahmal” Textil”, “Usmon Nur Tekstil”, “UZTex Group”, “Rayonaxon”, and others operating in the textile sector.
From the Azerbaijani side, the talks were attended by executives of over 30 companies and shopping centers specializing in the import and distribution of textile products. As part of the program, samples of Uzbek products were showcased, and B2B meetings were held between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
Following the negotiations, agreements were reached on opening retail and warehouse spaces in major commercial complexes across Azerbaijan, establishing showrooms for Uzbek textile products, and organizing a visit of Azerbaijani distributors to Uzbekistan later this year.
It was noted that the volume of textile imports in Azerbaijan reaches up to USD 1 billion annually. Over the past five years, demand for textile products in the country has increased 2.5 times. Currently, Uzbekistan’s textile exports to Azerbaijan amount to approximately USD 27 million.
