TASHKENT, 30 September. /Dunyo IA/. The 7th Congress of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC-ASIA), focusing on the theme “Constitutional Justice in the Context of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence”, will be held in Samarkand on 1–2 October 2026, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Bringing together the heads of constitutional and supreme courts from more than 20 countries, representatives of international organizations, and leading legal scholars, this forum is of particular importance as it seeks to identify new mechanisms for ensuring the rule of law and human dignity amid global technological transformation.

The following pressing issues will be discussed during the 7th Congress:

• judicial independence in the context of digital transformation;
• ensuring human rights and the rule of law in the digital environment;
• the possibilities and legal limits of using artificial intelligence in constitutional review;
• impartiality and the protection of personal data;
• procedural safeguards in the use of artificial intelligence;
• developing international and regional cooperation among constitutional jurisdictions.

At the conclusion of the 7th Congress, the Samarkand Declaration is expected to be adopted, aimed at advancing constitutional justice amid contemporary technological change.

This international conference will provide an important platform for international dialogue on the future of constitutional justice, the protection of human rights, and the legal foundations for using artificial intelligence in the judicial sphere.
