WASHINGTON–TEHRAN, July 24. /Dunyo IA/. U.S. President Donald Trump said he is considering launching a new large-scale military operation against Iran that could surpass the scale of previous strikes, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the head of state, a final decision has not yet been made, but the U.S. military is already prepared to carry out such a scenario.

“I am considering a massive attack. Bigger than ever before. I am close to making a decision. We are all set for it,” Donald Trump said in an interview with “Axios.” At the same time, senior U.S. sources confirmed that the order to begin the new operation has not yet been issued.

The president also said that Israel is ready to immediately join any potential operation. “They would join in two minutes if I ask them to. But we don’t need anybody,” he said, adding that Israel’s participation could have serious consequences, hinting at a possible retaliatory strike by Iran.

According to the White House chief, Tehran remains interested in negotiations but is not yet ready for compromise. “They haven’t received enough pain yet,” Donald Trump said. Sources familiar with the mediation efforts reported that the Iranian leadership rejected the latest proposal.

The president’s statements came amid the continuing escalation of the conflict. The U.S. Armed Forces have now been carrying out strikes against Iranian military targets for the 13^th consecutive night. According to U.S. Central Command, the latest attacks targeted facilities of the IRGC, a naval base on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as targets in the provinces of Isfahan, Khuzestan, and Fars.

In response, Iran is expanding the geographical scope of its strikes. Today, a series of explosions occurred near the U.S. military base in Erbil in northern Iraq, while air raid sirens were sounded twice in Bahrain. Tehran also announced strikes against U.S. military facilities in Jordan and Kuwait.

According to the “Al Arabiya” news portal, France and Britain have withdrawn diplomatic staff from Iran amid growing concerns as the conflict escalates.

Additional tensions have been fuelled by the actions of the Iran-backed Houthi movement in Yemen, which announced a naval blockade of Saudi Arabia and attacked two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea. Following this, Donald Trump warned that if such attacks are repeated, the United States will hold Iran responsible for the Houthis’ actions.

“if they do this again, the U.S. will hold Iran responsible, in that the Houthis are a Surrogate and/or Proxy of Iran, and major military punishment will be inflicted upon Iran and, of course, the Houthis,” the U.S. president wrote on “Truth Social.”

Oman said that the country is coordinating its actions with Saudi Arabia, the Yemeni parties and the UN special envoy for Yemen in order to “resume a political course aimed at security and stability.”

Shipping companies have begun rerouting vessels to avoid the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. At the same time, the number of tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz has fallen to its lowest level in recent months.

According to Iran’s Ministry of Health, at least 55 people have been killed and more than 600 injured in recent weeks as a result of the strikes. Despite ongoing mediation efforts, there are still no signs of a near-term resolution to the conflict.
