CAIRO, July 24. /Dunyo IA/.  As a result of the coordinated actions of the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and effective international cooperation through Interpol channels, citizen S.G., who had been evading justice for a long time, has been extradited from Egypt to Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

National Central Bureau of Interpol in Uzbekistan coordinated interaction with foreign partners at all stages of the extradition process. Thanks to the consistent efforts of the Bureau's officers, the prompt exchange of information with the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Cairo was ensured, continuous monitoring of the international search was maintained, and cooperation between the competent authorities of Uzbekistan and Egypt was coordinated.

Wanted individual was placed on the international wanted list at the initiative of the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan for committing extortion and a number of other grave crimes. To secure his detention and subsequent extradition, the necessary materials were submitted to the competent authorities of Egypt within the established timeframes in compliance with international legal procedures.

In the course of the operations conducted through Interpol channels, the cross-border movement routes of the wanted individual were identified, and his presence on the territory of Egypt was confirmed. The information obtained via Interpol channels enabled the Egyptian competent authorities to execute his detention. Following the review of the extradition request, the competent authorities of Egypt made a decision to extradite the wanted person to Uzbekistan.

Upon completion of all procedures provided for by international law, the wanted individual was handed over to the officers of the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Uzbekistan and escorted to the territory of the country to be brought to criminal justice in accordance with the national legislation.
