Nearly 4,500 People Killed in Powerful Earthquakes in Venezuela

CARACAS, July 13. /Dunyo IA/. The death toll from two powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24 has risen to 4,490, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing Reuters.
According to Venezuelan National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez, 16,740 people were injured, while 6,462 people have been rescued from the rubble.
Along the coast of La Guaira state and in the city of Catia La Mar, residential buildings and high-rise structures have been destroyed, and roads remain blocked by debris. The United Nations estimates that around 50,000 people may still be missing beneath the rubble.
La Guaira Governor Jose Alejandro Teran said authorities responded immediately to the disaster, and emergency services continue search and rescue operations.
