A Briefing dedicated to the Investment Potential of Uzbekistan held in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, October 2. /Dunyo IA/.   Embassy hosted a briefing dedicated to the investment potential of Uzbekistan, with the participation of Malaysian business community representatives, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, a presentation on the investment potential of Uzbekistan was delivered. In particular, it was noted that a comprehensive package of large-scale reforms aimed at fundamentally improving the investment and business climate has been implemented in the country in recent years. Special attention is being paid to creating favourable conditions for investors, with regional authorities providing comprehensive support in the execution of investment projects.

It was highlights that over the past decade, the volume of attracted foreign direct investment in Uzbekistan has significantly increased, exceeding $43 billion in 2025. It was emphasized that a favourable investment climate is being systematically shaped in the country, and the ongoing reforms are yielding positive results.

Presentation also showcased the export potential of Uzbekistan for the further development of mutual trade with Malaysia. In particular, the wide opportunities for supplying fresh and dried horticultural products, highly processed food items, finished non-ferrous metal products, jewellery, textiles, and chemical goods were highlighted.

During the event, Head of “Masuria Travel Sdn Bhd” Enas Suria, spoke about the positive transformations taking place in Uzbekistan, as well as the conditions being created in the country for conducting business. He noted that favorable conditions have emerged for establishing businesses in Uzbekistan and urged the participants of the event to visit the regions of the Republic with their business initiatives to discover new opportunities.

Taking into account the country's sizable market and extensive raw material potential, it was also noted that the attractive tax incentives granted to companies operating in the free economic zones of Uzbekistan's regions are generating significant interest among Malaysian investors.

Head of “NC Civil Construction and Engineering Sdn Bhd”, who participated in the event, highlighted the substantial potential and wide-ranging opportunities existing in the construction industry of Uzbekistan. In turn, the representative of “Klinik InoCare” expressed the intention to explore opportunities for developing activities in the field of medical tourism in Uzbekistan.

Following the event, an agreement was reached to organize a business visit to Uzbekistan in the first half of 2027.
