Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan attends "Aqaba Process" meeting to promote regional security dialogue in Rome

ТASHKENT, October 16. /Dunyo IA/. Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan participated in the "Aqaba Process" meeting held in Rome as part of his ongoing official visit to the Italian Republic, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

"Glad to participate in the Aqaba Process meeting started today in Rome, - wrote Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on his official telegram channel. - which brought together heads of state, ministers, and senior officials to exchange views on pressing global and regional security issues.
Uzbekistan remains committed to contributing to international efforts aimed at ensuring peace, stability, and sustainable development".
Recall that during the Uzbekistan–Jordan High‑Level Summit held on 25–26 August 2025, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev voiced strong support for King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein’s "Aqaba Process" initiated a decade ago, and proposed hosting one of its forthcoming sessions in the city of Samarkand.
The Aqaba Process is designed to strengthen international cooperation in the fight against extremism and terrorism.
