Tourism potential of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm discussed at Foreign Ministry meeting

TASHKENT, August 26. /Dunyo IA/. Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan hosted a roundtable chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mirvokhid Azimov and attended by scholars, historians, and tourism experts. The meeting was dedicated to the further development of the tourism potential of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the MFA, the participants discussed the broad promotion of the regions’ rich historical and cultural heritage, the identification of historical sites that remain relatively unknown to the general public, their inclusion in new tourist routes, as well as the development of a distinctive tourism brand for Karakalpakstan and Khorezm.
The participants also exchanged views on the effective use of the existing potential, presenting historical and scholarly information to tourists in an engaging and accessible manner, and developing new tourist routes.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the practical proposals and recommendations put forward by the participants were consolidated, and further steps for their implementation in cooperation with the relevant organizations were identified.
