Another round of political consultations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan held in Tashkent

TASHKENT, August 19. /Dunyo IA/. Today, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan took place at the level of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs Bobur Usmanov and Samir Sharifov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the MFA, during the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further development of Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan relations in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance, as well as issues related to strengthening political dialogue and expanding multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to preparations for upcoming high-level events, deepening trade, economic and investment cooperation, and developing cooperation in transport, logistics, energy, and the cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The need to bring practical cooperation to a qualitatively new level was emphasized. The importance of promoting new joint projects in industry and making maximum use of the existing potential to further increase bilateral trade, as well as intensifying cooperation in healthcare and culture, was noted.
The sides also held a substantive exchange of views on current regional and international issues of mutual interest.
