The new Ambassador of Colombia commences duties in Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, June 21. /Dunyo IA/. Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the new Ambassador of Colombia with residence in Moscow Héctor Isidro Arenas Neira, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

"Welcomed H.E. Héctor Isidro Arenas Neira, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Colombia to Uzbekistan, today at the MFA and received his credentials, – the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. – Emphasized the importance of deepening our bilateral ties, promoting business, political, cultural, people-to-people partnerships. Congratulations to Mr. Ambassador on his new role".

Uzbekistan and Colombia established diplomatic relations on October 2, 2012. Experienced diplomat Héctor Isidro Arenas Neira has succeeded Alfonso Lopez Caballero, who served as Colombian Ambassador to Uzbekistan from 2018 to 2024.
