Uzbekistan-India political consultations held in New Delhi

TASHKENT, May 13. /Dunyo IA/. Today, the 17th round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and India was held in Delhi, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the MFA, the Uzbek delegation was led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhramjon Aloyev, while the Indian side was headed by Deputy Minister of External Affairs Sibi George.

During the meeting, which took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, the parties conducted a comprehensive review of the current state of the strategic partnership between the two countries. Particular attention was paid to prospects for further deepening cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the steady expansion of bilateral engagement across various areas. The progress achieved in information technologies, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, education, tourism, and civil aviation was especially highlighted. The parties also discussed favourable opportunities for further strengthening interregional ties.

The dialogue additionally focused on cooperation on the international stage. In particular, the sides exchanged views on enriching cooperation within multilateral structures and international platforms with new substance, as well as coordinating efforts to ensure regional security.

The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in supporting mutually beneficial investment projects and further expanding economic partnership.
