TASHKENT, April 29. /Dunyo IA/. The Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held a meeting today with the Ambassador of Pakistan Ahmed Farooq, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the MFA, during the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of the Uzbekistan–Pakistan strategic partnership, including the further development of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, as well as collaboration in transport, logistics, and regional connectivity.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation on Afghanistan, strengthening regional security, and the prospects for implementing major transport and infrastructure projects, including the Trans-Afghan Railway.

The sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further deepening practical cooperation, maintaining regular contacts, and jointly advancing initiatives aimed at promoting stability, trust, and sustainable development in the region.
