Tashkent will host the second Foreign Ministerial Meeting of the Strategic Dialogue "Central Asia – Gulf Cooperation Council"

On April 15, 2024, the Second Foreign Ministerial Meeting of the Strategic Dialogue "Central Asia – Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf" will be held in Tashkent.

Delegations from Central Asian countries – Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and GCC member countries – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE are expected to attend the meeting.
The agenda of the events includes the review of the progress in the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the Firs Summit of Central Asia and Gulf Cooperation Council held on July 19, 2023 in Jeddah, as well as the discussion of the development of further cooperation in political, security, trade, economic, investment, environmental, transport and communications, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The participants will also exchange views on preparations for the next Summit of the Central Asian and Gulf Cooperation Council countries to be held in Samarkand in 2025.
It is also planned to adopt a Joint Statement.
