PARIS, November 3. /IA "Dunyo"/. Journalist of the leading French publication "l’Opinion" Claude Leblanc commented for "Dunyo" information agency on the results of the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Uzbekistan:

- The visit is truly a historical event. Both countries have mutual interests in developing bilateral relations. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen partnerships in all areas.
In turn, Uzbekistan today is becoming an increasingly promising economic partner thanks to ongoing reforms to liberalize the economy, creating favorable conditions for doing business and investment cooperation.
This visit will also serve to create favorable conditions for strengthening French-Uzbek cooperation in energy, trade and other important areas that are of mutual interest.
Today, we can observe the active participation of French companies in various projects in Uzbekistan. In particular, companies such as "TotalEnergies", "Voltalia", "SUEZ", "EDF" and others already have extensive experience working with Uzbek partners in the implementation of large investment projects.
It is also necessary to emphasize that the visits of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France organized in 2018 and 2022 and the bilateral agreements signed within their framework contributed to the growth of trade, economic and investment indicators of the two countries.
In the context of ongoing geopolitical tensions in the world, as well as an unstable economic situation, intensifying cooperation in the investment, trade and logistics fields is the key to prosperity and security not only for Uzbekistan, but also for the entire Central Asia.
It should be noted that, being a reformer president aimed at modernizing the political system of France, Emmanuel Macron also supports the aspirations of the leader of Uzbekistan to further develop and improve the functioning of the political system.
The agreements reached during the visit will contribute to bringing Uzbek-French relations to a qualitatively new, high level, will serve as a solid basis for strengthening relations of trust and partnership, and will become a reliable guarantee for further increasing the volume of mutual trade, cooperation in the transport and investment spheres, industrial cooperation, electronic trade taking into account the long-term interests of the two countries.
