Close regional cooperation among Central Asian States in focus of Spanish Media

MADRID, October 13. /Dunyo IA/.  The Spanish online news portal "Mundiario" has published a comprehensive article dedicated to the strategic role of the Central Asian region on the international stage, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The publication highlights Central Asia’s growing prominence on the global stage, driven by its geostrategic location and the development of multifaceted cooperation among the region’s five sovereign states. "Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan have strengthened their collaboration across numerous sectors, a progress notably reflected during the "Central Asia – European Union" summit held in Samarkand on April 4, 2025", - the article states.

As noted, Central Asia attracts particular attention due to its significant energy reserves, abundant mineral resources, rapidly developing agriculture, and expanding tourism potential.

"Cooperation in parliamentary and judicial-legal spheres, regional security, and the development of new interregional transport and communication corridors have become key priorities for Central Asian governments over the past decade. Leading international organizations such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and specialized UN agencies—including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), UNESCO, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) — are making significant contributions to projects and initiatives aimed at fostering development and cooperation in the region", -  the article states.
