TASHKENT, June 25. /Dunyo IA/.  President of Uzbekistan has signed a decree establishing the commemorative badge “Establishment of the commemorative badge of “O‘zbekiston Respublikasi mustaqilligining 35 yilligi” (35 Years of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Document was adopted as part of preparations for the celebration of the 35^th anniversary of the country's independence and is aimed at worthily rewarding citizens who have made a significant contribution to strengthening the independence, enhancing the economic power and potential of our nation, and raising its prestige on the international stage, as well as those who have earned the respect of the people through their long-term selfless labor, high professional skills, and active participation in social life.

Decree emphasizes that independence is the firm will of our courageous and noble people, achieved through the bravery and resilience of our selfless ancestors who fought for it. It is the foundation of all righteous endeavours aimed at building New Uzbekistan and a great, sacred value that we must carefully pass down to future generations.

It is noted that the path of progress, based on the Constitution updated through independence and the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy, serves as a solid foundation for the socio-economic development of the republic, elevating human honor and dignity, strengthening an atmosphere of peace, stability, friendship and cohesion in society, preserving our great history and national customs and traditions, establishing good-neighborly relations in the region, and enhancing the international prestige of our country.

According to the document, the Regulations and description of the commemorative badge “O‘zbekiston Respublikasi mustaqilligining 35 yilligi” (35 Years of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan) have been approved.

The establishment of the commemorative badge will be one of the key events dedicated to the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, serving as recognition of the merits of compatriots who have made a significant contribution to the country's development and the strengthening of its statehood.
