Uzbek Youth Day Celebrated in Malaysia with Cultural and Educational Event

KUALA LUMPUR, June 30. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur, jointly with representatives of the World Association of Youth, organized an event to mark Uzbekistan’s Youth Day, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event brought together Uzbek students studying at leading universities in Malaysia, including the University of Malaya, Asia Pacific University (APU), City University Malaysia, University of Cyberjaya, UCSI University, INCEIF University, INTI International University, and Xiamen University Malaysia.

Representatives of the Embassy congratulated the young compatriots on the occasion and spoke about the key priorities of Uzbekistan’s state youth policy, ongoing initiatives, and support measures for young people, including those pursuing higher education abroad.

During an open dialogue, participants discussed ways to support Uzbek youth in Malaysia, the organization of future cultural and educational events, and exchanged proposals and initiatives.

Farhod Akhunjonov, the representative of the World Association of Youth of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, presented the organization’s activities, noting that one of its main objectives is to unite Uzbek youth, identify their needs, and provide advisory support.

The program also featured musical and dance performances, theatrical presentations, and a “Zakovat” intellectual quiz dedicated to Youth Day. The winners received commemorative gifts.

In addition, a number of students were presented with letters of appreciation on behalf of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the World Association of Youth of Uzbekistan for their active participation in the Embassy’s events in 2026 and their outstanding academic achievements. Participants also expressed their commitment to continue contributing to the development of Uzbekistan.
