Ambassador of Uzbekistan explores trade opportunities with Valencia, Spain

MADRID, February 20. /"Dunyo" IA/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Farrukh Tursunov met with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Valencia, Jose Vicente Morato.

During the meeting, the Spanish side was informed about the trade, economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan, and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation between enterprises of Uzbekistan and Valencia were discussed.

Jose Vicente, who serves as Spain’s coordinator for international agreements in the trade and economic sphere and as vice-president of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry, agreed with the need to increase the pace of cooperation and increase trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Valencia, and also expressed the region’s interest in importing not only raw materials, but also finished products from our country.

The head of the Valencia Chamber of Commerce and Industry also noted the importance of establishing contacts between business representatives of the two countries and confirmed the chamber’s readiness to assist in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to maintain regular contacts and, in the near future, develop approaches to intensify trade and economic interaction between Uzbekistan and Spain.
