URGENCH, July 18. /Dunyo IA/.  Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Mirvokhid Azimov visited the Khorezm region on a working visit, during which meetings dedicated to the development of the investment and export potential of the region were held, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, issues of attracting foreign investments, increasing export volumes, raising the efficiency of free economic zones and implementing new investment projects were discussed.

The parties paid special attention to activating the foreign economic relations of the Khorezm region with the participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad. Practical mechanisms for expanding the export geography of local products, attracting foreign investments, and securing grant funding were reviewed.

During the trip, Mirvokhid Azimov visited leading industrial enterprises, textile manufacturers, and construction material producers in Urgench, Khiva, as well as the Yangiaryk, Shavat and Gurlen districts.

During the meetings with company executives, issues of diversifying export markets, attracting new foreign partners and expanding industrial cooperation were discussed.

Following the results of the visit, priority tasks were identified to expand the international economic relations of the Khorezm region and strengthen support for local manufacturers through the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad.
