NUKUS, July 17. /Dunyo IA/.   Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Mirvokhid Azimov, during a working visit to Karakalpakstan, met with the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes Amanbay Orynbayev and representatives of business circles, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Parties discussed accelerating the socio-economic development of the region, the development of free economic zones, the implementation of promising investment projects, as well as the expansion of international cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to improving the efficiency of interaction between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreign diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan, and Karakalpakstan. Discussions centered on the promotion of investment projects, attraction of grant funding, expansion of the export geography of national products, development of international industrial cooperation and the implementation of joint initiatives in the fields of education, industry, energy and tourism.

During the visit, Mirvokhid Azimov also familiarized himself with the activities of a number of enterprises in Nukus and the Takhiatash district. During meetings with company executives, issues of entering new foreign markets, attracting foreign partners, expanding export geography and developing international industrial cooperation were discussed.

Following the results of the trip, practical measures were determined aimed at attracting foreign investments to Karakalpakstan, developing foreign economic relations, and increasing the efficiency of interaction between diplomatic missions, local government authorities and domestic manufacturers.
