ABU DHABI, July 2. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Umid Shodiev has met with Chief Executive Officer of Bustanica, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues pertaining to modern agricultural technologies, vertical farming, ensuring food security and the integration of innovative solutions into the agricultural sector.
Sides underscored the critical importance of vertical farming technologies in maximizing water resource efficiency, ensuring year-round agricultural production, and fostering environmental sustainability. Furthermore, they exchanged views on studying best practices in this field, attracting investments, implementing joint projects and advancing cooperation in knowledge-sharing and capacity-building among specialists.
A comprehensive overview of “Bustanica” was presented, highlighting its operations, advanced technology-driven vertical farming systems, and innovative approaches to ensuring food security. Operating one of the world’s largest indoor vertical farms and utilizing advanced hydroponic technologies, the company ensures sustainable agricultural production while consuming up to 95% less water compared to traditional farming methods.
Following the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their readiness to advance mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of agricultural innovation, food security and sustainable agricultural development, as well as to jointly explore prospective dimensions of practical engagement.
