Polish Industrial Company to Establish Joint Venture and Launch Electrical Engineering Hub in Uzbekistan

WARSAW, June 20. /Dunyo IA/. Polish company APS Energia has signed an agreement with the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) to establish a joint venture in Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The announcement was reported by the Polish business portals “strefa BIZNESU”, “Bankier.pl”, “inwestycje.pl”, and “Stockwatch”.

The project provides for the construction of a production and office complex and the launch of a regional electrical engineering hub serving the markets of Central Asia, Afghanistan, and the Caucasus. APS Energia will hold a 51% stake in the joint venture, while AMMC will own 49%. First-stage investment is estimated at $15 million.

The joint venture will specialize in the development and production of emergency power supply systems and energy solutions for industry. The Polish partner will contribute technology transfer, know-how, and training for local specialists.

The project is expected to generate annual revenues of several tens of millions of zlotys in the coming years. Operations are scheduled to begin in the near future from leased facilities before being relocated to a new plant with an area of approximately 8,000 square meters.

AMMC is one of Uzbekistan’s largest industrial enterprises, employing more than 35,000 people and generating annual revenue of around $4.1 billion. The company is implementing a large-scale modernization program, creating strong demand for modern power supply systems.
