STOCKHOLM, June 20. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov met with the leadership of the Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE), one of the leading research centers in Sweden, as well as with representatives of Vinnova (Sweden’s Innovation Agency), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, the parties discussed issues of modernization of agriculture, the introduction of digital technologies, effective management of water resources, as well as the development of scientific and research cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The Swedish side presented the capabilities of the RISE Institute in the field of introducing innovations into practice, prototyping and testing new technologies.

The meeting participants also exchanged views on the establishment of cooperation between scientific institutions of Uzbekistan and Sweden, the implementation of joint projects within the framework of European Union programs, as well as the organization of a visit to Sweden by a delegation of Uzbekistan representing agriculture and water management.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue contacts in order to expand practical cooperation in the field of agricultural innovations and water resources management.
