CAIRO, August 7. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with Ahmad Said Mahmoud, Director of the Agricultural Sector, EBDA Development Projects S.A.E., Egypt, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, parties discussed in detail the prospects for developing mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The representative of EBDAA outlined the company’s extensive experience and the scale of its operations, expressing strong interest in executing joint projects and deploying investments in key sectors across Uzbekistan.

In particular, parties exchanged views on advancing strawberry cultivation by leveraging Uzbekistan's fertile soil conditions, favorable climate, and cutting-edge agro-technologies to ensure high-yield, premium-quality production.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for producing specialized plant nutrients and fertilizers that increase crop yields, enhance resistance to diseases, and improve soil fertility.

Following the meeting, Ahmad Said Mahmoud reaffirmed the company's interest in transitioning to the practical implementation of cooperation with Uzbekistan. In this regard, he proposed organizing a series of meetings between representatives of relevant government agencies and interested companies to discuss the prospects of joint work in detail.

Based in Cairo, EBDAA is a specialized organization operating within the sectors of the agro-industrial complex, investment, and business support in Egypt. It operates across more than 12 provinces of the country, introducing modern agricultural technologies, developing organic agricultural production, and manufacturing specialized plant nutrients and fertilizers that enhance soil fertility and crop yields.

Furthermore, the company successfully implements large-scale agricultural projects within the markets of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
