BERLIN, September 28. /Dunyo IA/.   Uzbekistan participated in the international transport technology trade fair “InnoTrans 2026” in Berlin for the first time as an independent exhibitor, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Separate exhibition stands were presented by Uzbekistan Railways and “Mikroelektronika Plyus”. The main objectives of the participation were to promote Uzbek-made freight railcars on international markets, expand logistics cooperation, and establish contacts with major railway technology manufacturers.

Representatives of Uzbekistan also took part in the “Global Gateway” international discussion, organized with the participation of the European Commission and the “Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking”. The discussions focused on the development of transport corridors, enhancing the interoperability of railway systems, international standards and attracting investment in infrastructure projects.

As part of the exhibition, the Uzbek delegation held talks with foreign railway companies and organizations. In particular, discussions with Türkiye’s “TCDD Taşımacılık” focused on expanding freight transportation along the Türkiye–Azerbaijan–Georgia–Uzbekistan route, while talks with representatives of Poland’s “PKP” addressed further cooperation.

According to Hikmatulla Rakhmetov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of “Uzbekistan Railways”, participation in InnoTrans 2026 was an important event for the national railway sector. He noted that the company seeks to expand its presence in international markets and develop cooperation within transport corridors, including the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan corridor and the Trans-Caspian Route.

“Mikroelektronika Plyus” also presented a dedicated exhibition stand, showcasing developments in electronic equipment for railway transport, automation, control and signaling, software and the modernization of existing systems.

Uzbekistan’s participation in “InnoTrans 2026” provided an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of the national railway industry to foreign partners and discuss prospects for increasing freight transportation, modernizing rolling stock, developing transport corridors, and expanding cooperation.

German publication “HauptstadtEcho” also highlighted Uzbekistan’s participation in the exhibition, emphasizing the country’s industrial, technological, and engineering potential on display.

Particular attention in the publication was given to the “Jaloliddin Manguberdi” high-speed train operating on the Tashkent–Khiva–Tashkent route, which, according to the publication, attracted the interest of foreign industry specialists.

According to the publication, the project is contributing to improved transport connectivity between the capital and Khiva and to the development of tourism. The publication also reported that around 175,000 industry professionals visited “InnoTrans 2026”, while “InnoTrans Asia” will be held for the first time in Singapore in September 2027.
