TASHKENT, September 27. /Dunyo IA/.   Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva, commented on the violence against a 5-year-old child that occurred in Namangan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“I was briefed on the tragedy in Namangan. What I learned left me truly outraged, - Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, wrote today on her telegram channel. - In my view, the death penalty should indeed be imposed for such heinous crimes. Unfortunately, current law does not provide for it.

All necessary instructions have been issued to the relevant authorities. The perpetrator will face the harshest punishment available under the law. All those whose negligence allowed this to happen and who failed to protect the child will also be held accountable.

At the same time, we are preparing proposals to amend the legislation in order to strengthen criminal liability for such crimes to the fullest extent possible”.
