SEATTLE, May 21. /Dunyo IA/. In the US state of Washington, the premiere of the Uzbek feature film “Omonatim” took place with the participation of local residents and compatriots, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The screening was attended by members of the Seattle–Tashkent Sister Cities Association, Uzbeks living in the United States, as well as American guests.

The film “Omonatim” captivated the audience with its portrayal of Uzbek family traditions, national customs, and a warm, sincere atmosphere. American guests showed a special interest in the scenes featuring Uzbekistan's historical monuments, its unique nature and national spirit.

Director Abbos Abdullaev spoke at the opening of the event, sharing insights into the reforms carried out in the Uzbek cinema industry in recent years, the opportunities being created for young creators and the efforts to promote national films on the international stage.

He also shared the story behind the creation of the film “Omonatim” and its main concept. After the screening, a Q&A session with the filmmakers took place, where the audience asked many questions about the plot, character development and the filming process.

The event participants highlighted the activities of the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in the State of Washington, emphasizing that it helps strengthen ties with compatriots.

American viewers expressed a growing interest in Uzbekistan's culture and tourism potential, stating their desire to visit the country in the future.
