10,000 schools in Uzbekistan to receive free access to “Canva” platform

A delegation from the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan, led by First Deputy Minister Sherzod Karimov, held a series of meetings with heads of leading educational institutions and international companies during a working visit to France, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed deepening cooperation in preschool and school education, developing French language teaching, enhancing professional development for educators and digitalizing the educational process.
In particular, an agreement was signed with the “Hachette Livre” publishing group to expand cooperation on the supply of French language textbooks.
During the meeting with the leadership of “France Éducation International”, parties discussed the establishment of a regional center for French language training for Central Asian countries in Tashkent, as well as a joint Uzbek-French competence center for French language teaching methodology.
French side also proposed holding the first regional professional development session for French language teachers from Central Asian countries in Uzbekistan.
In addition, a meeting was held with the leadership of the Australian company “Canva”, one of the world's leading digital educational platforms. Following the meeting, an agreement was signed providing all public general education schools in Uzbekistan with free use of the “Canva for Education” platform for three years.
Within the framework of the project, more than 10,000 public schools across the country will receive access to the platform's digital tools for integration into the educational process.
