SEOUL, April 5. /Dunyo IA/. The South Korean newspaper “Global Korea Post” published an article by writer Hakim Sattoriy examining the contribution of the legendary conqueror and statesman Amir Temur to the development of Western civilization, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to Hakim Sattori, the early 15th century marked a pivotal period for Europe and the world, largely due to Temur’s actions. He elevated public thinking by combining Turan state traditions with Islamic principles, demonstrating that a ruler could be more than a hereditary monarch-serving also as a military commander, reformer, and patron of science.
Hakim Sattori emphasizes that Temur’s policies strengthened Eurasian cooperation and improved Europe’s perception of the East and Islamic culture. During an era dominated by church influence, the great conqueror clearly distinguished the roles of religion and state, laying the groundwork for secular education and scientific advancement in Europe.
The article also notes that Temur’s legacy achieved global recognition. His golden statue adorns the Louvre in Paris, and English dramatists Christopher Marlowe and Charles Saunders immortalized him in 16th–17th century tragedies, cementing his image in world literature.
Hakim Sattori concludes that Amir Temur entered world history as a statesman and military leader whose influence extended to the Renaissance, Europe, and Russia, and who was highly regarded for his reformist and cultural achievements.
