“Caravan Info” News Agency: New Tashkent is set to become a symbol of technological progress

MOSCOW, February 13. /Dunyo IA/.  The information agency “Caravan Info” has published an article on the large-scale project to build New Tashkent, a modern, innovative city that will become one of eight new cities being developed across Central Asia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The article notes that the project is expected to take approximately 10 -20 years. During this period, the city will actively compete to attract investment and skilled personnel, aiming to become a hub for cutting-edge ideas and technologies.

It is highlighted that the city’s key architectural landmark and a potential world record holder will be a 232-meter-high fountain, scheduled to open in August 2026.

“The first residents will be able to move into multi-storey residential complexes as early as December 2026. Priority for the new apartments will be given to citizens in challenging life circumstances, as well as to public sector employees whose administrative offices will be relocated to the new city”, - the author writes.

The article emphasizes that New Tashkent’s infrastructure will rely on advanced solutions, including the introduction of tram services and autonomous vehicles. The “15-minute city” concept will ensure that residents can reach essential social and everyday facilities within a quarter of an hour on foot.

“New Tashkent is intended to become a symbol of technological progress, create a comfortable urban environment, and introduce innovations in transportation and social infrastructure”, - concludes “Caravan Info”.
