LONDON, February 13. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with Lord John Alderdice, the United Kingdom Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy for Central Asia and Azerbaijan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of our State, the parties addressed organizational and substantive aspects of Lord Alderdice’s upcoming visit to Uzbekistan, scheduled for February 14–20.
The UK Trade Envoy expressed his readiness for active and constructive dialogue during the visit, noting his keen anticipation for the trip and thanking the Uzbek side for their comprehensive support in its preparation.
Lord Alderdice confirmed his intention to hold substantive talks with Uzbek counterparts on further expanding trade and investment cooperation, as well as to discuss promising avenues of collaboration in strategically important sectors. In particular, the visit will include an Uzbek - British Infrastructure Conference, which has already attracted significant interest from the UK business community.
The agenda of the visit also includes advancing cooperation in education and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
