“RBC”: Russia and Uzbekistan interested in further developing digital cooperation and simplifying procedures for businesses

MOSCOW, October 8. /Dunyo IA/. Russian business publication “RBC” has published an article on the outcomes of the “Russia–Uzbekistan: Digital Bridge of Technologies and Opportunities” business mission, which was held in Uzbekistan in September, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
As part of the visit, Russian delegation took part in a plenary session of ICT WEEK Uzbekistan, an international week, and held talks with representatives of commercial companies, banks and the IT sector. The main topics included cross-border electronic document management, cybersecurity and the implementation of artificial intelligence.
According to “RBC”, separate meetings were held with the leadership of the Tax Committee and the Scientific and Information Centre “Yangi Technologies”. The parties discussed the recognition of Russian electronic signatures through a trusted third party, integration with Uzbekistan’s electronic invoicing system and the use of AI in tax monitoring.
Talks were also held with the leadership of the National Agency of Perspective Projects (NAPP), where the parties discussed the use of generative AI in e-commerce, data protection and the removal of barriers to the export of Russian IT solutions.
Central theme of the plenary discussion titled “Digital Alliance of Uzbekistan and Russia” was cross-border electronic document management, regulatory frameworks and cyber resilience. Participants confirmed the technical readiness of tax authorities to receive documents accompanied by trusted third-party (TTP) verification receipts and discussed the protection of cross-border digital gateways.
As part of the mission, a meeting of the sub commission was also held with the participation of representatives of relevant ministries of the two countries, where further steps to implement legislation in the field of electronic documents were discussed.
According to the publication, the business mission and the B2B meetings held as part of it confirmed Russia and Uzbekistan’s interest in further developing digital cooperation and simplifying procedures for businesses.
