Kabul hosts Second Scientific Conference dedicated to the rich scholarly legacy of Imam Al-Marghinani

MAZAR-I-SHARIF, October 7. /Dunyo IA/. Afghan news outlet “ToloNews” has published an article on the scholarly legacy of Imam Marghinani, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Publication notes that the second scientific conference entitled “The Scientific Legacy and Status of Imam Burhanuddin Marghinani in Contemporary Islamic Sciences” was held in Kabul.
In his message to the participants of the conference, Prime Minister of Afghanistan Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund noted that ties between religious scholars of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have deep historical roots. The message also expressed hope for the further development of these relations on the basis of mutual respect.
In a separate message, the head of the Academy of Sciences of Afghanistan called for further in-depth study of the works and scholarly legacy of Imam Burhanuddin Marghinani in Islamic countries and Uzbekistan.
It was also noted that Afghanistan’s Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs Noor Mohammad Saqib highly praised Marghinani’s scholarly works in his address and highlighted their significance for contemporary Islamic scholarship.
First Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan Khomidjon Ishmatbekov, noting the commonality of religious traditions among the peoples of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, highlighted the expanding relations between the two countries.
Khomidjon Ishmatbekov also stressed the need to further strengthen cultural and religious ties between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
“In recent years, thanks to the political will and efforts of the leaders of the two countries, bilateral relations have gained fresh momentum toward further development. The initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan put forward at international forums to ensure lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan, the construction of the Imam Bukhari madrasa in Balkh province, the establishment of the Termez International Trade Center along the border between the two countries, as well as continued humanitarian assistance are practical examples of good-neighborliness, solidarity and sincere brotherhood”, Khomidjon Ishmatbekov noted.
