The article notes that Uzbekistan’s tourism sector serves not only the economy but also acts as a cultural bridge, introducing visitors to the country’s ancient heritage, rich traditions and national identity.

In 2025, significant reforms were implemented in the tourism sector, including the launch of new projects, improvement of service standards and expansion of international cooperation. These achievements reflect the sustained efforts of professionals working in the tourism industry.

Uzbekistan welcomed over 11 million international tourists in 2025, averaging nearly one million visitors per month, setting a historic record and positioning the country among the leading tourism destinations in the region and globally.

Since June 1, 2025, a 30-day visa-free entry regime for citizens of Gulf Arab countries, including Kuwait, has been in effect, leading to a notable increase in tourists from the Gulf.

In 2025, approximately 1,000 Kuwaiti tourists visited Uzbekistan, reflecting growing interest in the country as a developing and unique tourist destination.
