Uzbekistan to Become New Logistics Hub for E-Commerce in Central Asia

SAINT PETERSBURG, June 22. /Dunyo IA/. “Wildberries” plans to build a class A+ logistics center in Uzbekistan with a total area of 170,000 square meters and investments of $300 million, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing the Russian business newspaper “Delovoy Petersburg”.

The project is expected to strengthen Uzbekistan’s role as a strategic logistics link connecting major markets, including routes from Russia to the Middle East.

Speaking at an event during the Tashkent International Investment Forum, “Wildberries Uzbekistan” CEO Akmal Primkulov said Uzbekistan is one of the company’s key markets.

He added that the company’s expansion strategy aims to turn Uzbekistan into a major e-commerce logistics hub in Central Asia, enabling transit of goods along supply chains from China to African markets.
