 “An-Nahar”: Uzbekistan is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for investors

KUWAIT, June 21. /Dunyo IA/.  The Kuwaiti publication “An-Nahar” has published an article dedicated to the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The publication highlights that the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, officially opened the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum. The event was also attended by the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj. Furthermore, the forum convened cabinet ministers from various nations, high-ranking officials, representatives of international financial institutions, executives of the world's largest corporations and global investors.

Addressing the forum, the Head of Uzbekistan emphasized that this platform has become an essential mechanism for advancing international economic and investment dialogue. According to the President, this serves as a testament to the global community's growing confidence in Uzbekistan. He noted that the country is determined to make its investment climate even more competitive, transparent, and attractive through the continuous implementation of comprehensive reforms.

The publication emphasizes that Uzbekistan has chosen a developmental path anchored in an open-market policy and is firmly committed to expanding long-term international cooperation. Foreign direct investment is recognized not only as a means of mobilizing financial resources but also as a primary driver for transferring advanced technologies, localizing industrial manufacturing, generating high-value employment, and securing sustainable economic growth.

According to the President of Albania Bajram Begaj, strengthening economic and investment cooperation with Uzbekistan is of paramount importance. He specifically emphasized that bilateral relations have entered a new era of openness and mutual convergence.

As Bajram Begaj stated, Albania views Uzbekistan as a highly promising partner in Central Asia and is deeply interested in expanding cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, renewable energy, tourism and logistics.
