100 “Presidential Pilgrims” from Uzbekistan Arrive in Medina

MEDINA, May 19. /Dunyo IA/. On May 18th, 100 pilgrims sent on the initiative of the Head of Uzbekistan to perform Hajj as “presidential pilgrims” arrived in Saudi Arabia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

At the Medina International Airport, the Uzbek pilgrims were met by diplomats led by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia, Nodirjon Turgunov, as well as representatives of the hosting side.

The pilgrims were transported to their hotels in modern, comfortable buses accompanied by a police escort.

The members of the group expressed their sincere gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the attention and care shown, noting that the conditions created are a manifestation of high respect for the pilgrims.

The citizens also wished the Head of State health and well-being, and prayed for peace in the country, the prosperity of the people and the further development of Uzbekistan.
