World Summit on Investing in Children’s Wellbeing to take place in Samarkand on October 21–22nd

SAMARKAND, September 17. /Dunyo IA/.   World Summit “Investing in Children’s Wellbeing: Towards Sustainable and Equitable Development for Future Generations” will be held in Samarkand on October 21–22nd, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the “Invest in Children” project, the large-scale event is expected to bring together political leaders, ministers, representatives of international organizations, the business community and civil society, as well as children and adolescents from more than 100 countries.

Summit will feature an official opening ceremony and thematic sessions. Visits to social-sector facilities in Uzbekistan are also planned for international participants.

Panel sessions will address issues related to social protection for children and families, child rights protection and access to essential services, child health, childhood cancer, early childhood development, and inclusive education.

In addition, the event will host the 2nd International Congress on Childhood Cancer and Hematology.

Summit is expected to provide a platform for countries to exchange best practices and modern approaches to child protection and support. Participants will discuss practical solutions and further improvements to systems aimed at safeguarding the interests and wellbeing of children.
