ТАSHKENT, September 17. /Dunyo IA/.  Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, who is on a visit to Tokyo, met with the Vice President of the Liberal Democratic Party and Chairman of the “Uzbekistan–Japan” Parliamentary Friendship League Taro Aso, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Pleased to meet with H.E. Taro Aso, a prominent Japanese politician and a close friend of Uzbekistan - Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - We highly value his longstanding personal contribution to the development of Uzbekistan–Japan relations as Vice President of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan and Chairman of the “Uzbekistan–Japan” Parliamentary Friendship League.

 During the meeting, we discussed further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan, developing inter-parliamentary dialogue, and expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation.

Also emphasised the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in the full implementation of agreements reached at the highest level”.
