Aichi-Nagoya: Our Athletes continue to amass Medals, reaching 20 Gold Medals so far

• 37AICHI-NAGOYA, October 2. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbek athletes continue to amass medals at the Asian Games held in Japan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Competitions on October 2nd proved highly successful for Uzbek athletes. Our representatives in a number of sports honourably defended the country's prestige, securing gold, silver and bronze medals.
Turabek Khabibullaev, a member of the national boxing team of Uzbekistan, defeated Han Xuezhen of China in the final to become the Asian Games champion.
Another boxer of ours, Abdumalik Khalokov, competing in the under 60 kg weight category, also won the gold medal of the competition. In the decisive final bout, he achieved a confident victory over Jang Dong-hwan of South Korea.
Jahongir Zokirov (+90 kg) lost to Kazakh boxer Aybek Oralbay in the final, securing the silver medal.
In the judo competitions, Muzaffarbek Turoboyev (+100 kg) competed successfully to reach the final. In the semifinals, he defeated his Mongolian opponent by ippon. In the final bout, Muzaffarbek stepped onto the tatami against the host nation's representative, Hyoga Ota, defeating his opponent to claim the gold medal.
Ernazar Sarsenbaev (-100 kg), a member of the Uzbekistan national judo team, was awarded the bronze medal of the Asian Games.
In the tennis singles competition, Humoyun Sultanov reached the semifinals and concluded the tournament with a bronze medal.
In the track cycling men's madison event, the duo of Sergey Rostovtsev and Nikita Tsvetkov accumulated 45 points to finish in third place and secure the bronze medals.
At the same time, in the Taekwondo WT competitions, Jasurbek Jaysunov and Ozoda Sobirjonova defeated all their opponents to advance to the finals.
Ozoda Sobirjonova, who defended the honour of our country in the under 67 kg weight category, stepped onto the dojang against Saghar Moradi of Iran in the decisive match. Following a tense and uncompromising bout, Ozoda was defeated and awarded the silver medal.
Our compatriot Jasurbek Jaysunov (-80 kg), competing in the men's event, triumphed over Hung Jiun-yi of Chinese Taipei in the final match, bringing the twentieth gold medal to the delegation of Uzbekistan.
Currently, China, Japan and South Korea occupy the top three positions in the medal standings. Uzbekistan ranks within the top four, holding 20 gold, 23 silver and 22 bronze medals.
