Shares of Uzbek companies attract one of the most prominent American Investors

KYIV, January 15. /Dunyo IA/. Renowned American investor, co-founder of the “Quantum Fund” and owner of “Rogers Holdings” - Jim Rogers has directed investments into shares of Uzbek companies, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing Ukrainian information portals “Open4Business” and “Fixygen”.
Jim Rogers, a well-known American investor and co-founder of the “Quantum Fund”, owner of “Rogers Holdings” with a fortune of about $300 million, directing funds to shares of companies in Uzbekistan. As of the end of 2025, Rogers’ investment portfolio has been replenished with securities of most issuers listed on the Tashkent Republican Stock Exchange.
According to sources in the investment environment, Rogers has implemented a diversification strategy, focusing on emerging markets in Central Asia. He acquired shares in about 85 companies, covering key sectors of the Uzbek economy, from energy and mining to agriculture and financial services.
“The investor refused to buy the sovereign debt of the republic and did not apply currency risk hedging, demonstrating confidence in the long-term potential of the Uzbek economy”, - publication states.
The move was the culmination of Rogers' long-standing interest in the region: since 2021, he has been actively monitoring reforms in Uzbekistan, including market liberalization and preparations for initial public offerings (IPOs).
“Uzbekistan is a country with huge growth potential, where reforms create favourable conditions for investors”, - Jim Rogers noted in a recent interview, highlighting the parallels with his successful investments in Asia in the 1990s.
