“Al Diplomasy”: Upcoming “Plastex Uzbekistan 2026” Exhibition highlights Status of Tashkent as a Regional Industrial Hub

CAIRO, September 15. /Dunyo IA/.  An article by journalist Ashraf AboArafe dedicated to the upcoming international Exhibition “Plastex Uzbekistan 2026” has been published in the Egyptian electronic publication “Al Diplomasy”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication notes that the upcoming “Plastex Uzbekistan 2026” Exhibition clearly demonstrates Tashkent’s steadily growing status as a strategic center for the plastics, packaging and chemical industries in Central Asia. The event reflects Uzbekistan’s large-scale efforts to modernize its industry, combining global innovations with the needs of the local market.

Author analyses a number of key factors contributing to the development of Uzbekistan’s industrial potential. In particular, more than 250 companies from 11 countries around the world are taking part in the exhibition, including high-tech European machinery suppliers from Germany, Italy and Austria, as well as representatives of such regional trade hubs as Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, China and Russia. According to the author, this demonstrates Uzbekistan’s high potential for attracting high-value foreign direct investment, as well as raw material flows.

Article also highlights the particular attention being paid to technological upgrades and production automation. The participation of leading foreign companies such as “Koenig & Bauer Kammann”, “Definitive Innovation”, “PLAS MEC S.R.L.” and “TERMOKAR MAKİNA”, alongside the activities of local enterprises, including “NOVOPLAST TPE”, contributes to improving the precision and efficiency of production processes.

According to the publication, holding the event concurrently with the “4P Central Asia” exhibition creates a unified value chain encompassing printing, packaging, plastics and polymers, while providing convenient opportunities for regional buyers.

“Exhibition serves as a bridge for foreign companies seeking to localize production in Central Asia, while also providing local manufacturers with an opportunity to acquire modern machinery needed to improve product quality”, Egyptian publication concludes.
