RIYADH, September 15. /Dunyo IA/.  Embassy of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia organized a presentation on the tourism potential of our country, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by representatives of the tourism industries of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia, including Uzbek and Saudi tour operators. The participants were briefed on the tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan, key destinations, and tourist itineraries, as well as the conditions conducive to developing cooperation between companies of the two nations.

Special attention during the presentation was dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan. The tourism opportunities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent and other regions of the country were showcased, highlighting the potential for the development of pilgrimage, cultural, gastronomic, ecological and family tourism.

Within the framework of the event, bilateral B2B meetings were held between Uzbek and Saudi representatives of the tourism business. During the negotiations, the parties discussed opportunities for creating joint tourism products, organizing tourist groups, promoting the tourism routes of Uzbekistan in the Saudi Arabian market, as well as establishing direct cooperation between tour operators.

Participants also exchanged information on high-demand destinations and the preferences of Saudi tourists, and discussed matters concerning travel organization, tourist services and the further promotion of Uzbekistan as an attractive destination for travellers from Saudi Arabia.
