DELHI, May 12. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Bangladesh with residence in Delhi, Sardor Rustambaev, held an online meeting with the President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Taskeen Ahmed, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Alisher Shaykhov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, also took part in the negotiations.

The parties discussed promising areas for further development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The high potential of the textile, pharmaceutical, chemical and leather industries, as well as the tourism sector, was highlighted.

Detailed information was provided on the results of consistent reforms being carried out across all sectors in our country, alongside the attractive and favourable conditions, incentives and preferences created for foreign investors.

In turn, the head of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced plans to send a business delegation of more than 20 entrepreneurs to Uzbekistan.

As part of the trip, which is scheduled for June, it is planned to organize a business forum and hold bilateral B2B meetings between representatives of the business circles of the two nations.

The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, founded in 1958, is one of the largest and most active chambers in Bangladesh. It serves as the voice of the country's business community, particularly the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector and currently has more than 5,700 members.
